At Home Workout Essentials

As we continue getting through the pandemic safe and at a distance, we would like to share with you 3 exercise equipment you can use from the comfort of your home to help you stay on track to your fitness goals. As the economy evolves and more companies transition to online/virtual platforms, it is essential to consider how you can also transition your workouts to online and what necessary equipment you should get.

Our clients have the following equipment, and we also utilize it when doing our One-on-One Online Fitness Coaching and during our Online Group Fitness Classes. Just be mindful, there are some equipment that individuals may find more beneficial than others, depending on their physical capabilities and fitness goals.

These are just some general recommendations that everyone may use from the comfort of their home.

Resistance (Tubing) Bands

These resistance bands are great at-home equipment with the capability of training your muscles from multiple angles. The great thing about these bands is that you can attach them to the door and perform over 100 different variations. You can do it all from this simple equipment, from strengthening the chest, quads, hamstring, back, glutes, abs, shoulders, and more. The best part is that it's compact; you can easily store these bands in their bag.

This form of resistance training is different than just using dumbbells. Resistance bands condition your muscles in a way that dumbbells and cable machines at the gym will not. After a specific range of motion, most equipment does not challenge the musculature. The resistance bands increase tension throughout the entire range of motion, challenging and strengthening the tissue while keeping the joint under tension. If you don't already have a pair, get yours today!

Foam Roller

Myofascial release is a technique used in physical therapy where the therapist may apply gentle pressure on the connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Myofascial Release is an effective technique that has been practiced over the years and has proven to be very useful across the years.

The good news is that now you can perform self-myofascial release from the comfort of your home! After a Fitness Coaching Session or an Online Group Fitness Classes is a great way to loosen up the muscles and improve recovery by stimulating blood flow to the areas trained. Improve your recovery today with a foam roller!

Stability Ball

An all-time favorite. Stability balls are utilized to mobilize the hips, strengthen the core musculature, strengthen the spinal musculature, and improve joint stability. Stability balls have also replaced many office chairs to help with core engagement and posture correction. Talk about 2-in-1!

With this simple equipment, you can take your core strengthening exercises to the next level. If you are looking to strengthen your abs to help reduce lower back pain or to improve your posture, this stability ball will do the trick.
